Fwd: [l10n-web] Detailed instructions on how to test Hello UI tour

ep si no ho heu vist, el firefox 34 té el Firefox Hello. per provar-lo, podeu seguir aquestes instruccions: ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Francesco Lodolo [:flod] <flod@lodolo.net> Date: Sun, Dec 28, 2014 at 4:17 PM Subject: [l10n-web] Detailed instructions on how to test Hello UI tour To: Mozilla projects web content localization < dev-l10n-web@lists.mozilla.org> Hi, some additional details on how to completely test the UI Tour for Firefox Hello (see also the previous message [1]). *Configure your browser* First: I suggest to use Aurora (or Nightly if localized) to test this page, it makes things easier. It's also recommended to create a new profile that you can remove after you've completely tested your localization. 1) Create a new string preference in about:config (or update its value if it's already present). Note that you should have already done that from the previous message. name: browser.uitour.testingOrigins value: https://www-demo2.allizom.org Value can include multiple values separated by commas. 2) Search for a preference called "loop.gettingStarted.url" and set it to https://www-demo2.allizom.org/%LOCALE%/firefox/%VERSION%/hello/start/ Make sure you include the trailing slash, and to reset it when you're done. 3) Set "loop.gettingstarted.seen" to false. 4) If you're using Nightly, make sure that e10s is disabled (Preferences->General). Make also sure you're not using add-ons blocking JavaScript like NoScript. 5) Restart the browser At this point you're ready to test the page. *How to test* 1) Click on Firefox Hello's icon in the toolbar, you should see a Get started blue button, click it. 2) A new page (on www-demo2) should open, with Hello's dropdown menu visible and a "Welcome to Hello" tooltip box. If you don't see it, you didn't set permissions correctly to run UI Tour (point #1). 3) Create a new conversation, you'll see a second tooltip box near the conversation dialog. Copy the link. 4) Open a different browser (Chrome, or a different version of Firefox), open the copied link and join the conversation (note: don't know why this page is not localized, it's not part of mozilla.org, I guess it should be part of the stand-alone client). 5) If you left the tab and conversation open, the content of the page should change to "You’ve started your first conversation. Wasn’t that easy". If you closed the conversation window and the tab, Hello's icon become blue. Click it: the tab on www-demo2 should reopen, and a third tooltip box should warn you that "You have a conversation waiting". Click the conversation and you should see again the "You’ve started your first conversation. Wasn’t that easy" content. You can restart the Tour simply using the Gear icon in Hello's menu. Hope this helps.
