Ep Us reenvio un missatge que acabo d'enviar a la llista de mozilla-l10n. Not happy :-/ El missatge encara no ha arribat a la llista perquè està en moderació (per la mida del missatge, que conté un parell d'imatges). A veure què diuen.... salut jordi s -------- Missatge original -------- Assumpte: [FFOS] Strings fitting in 1.1 no longer fit in 1.2 Data: Fri, 01 Nov 2013 20:19:04 +0100 De: Jordi Serratosa <jordis.lists@gmail.com> A: Mozilla l10n Mailing List <dev-l10n@lists.mozilla.org> Dear all, When starting testing 1.2, I started seeing reports of strings not fitting when they were tested and OK in 1.1. Now I realize that in 1.2 there were some cosmetic changes that impact the spacing allowed for the strings. Have a look at this screen ("Developer") (I'm not sure whether images get through): *IN LATEST 1.1* (grid enabled): *IN LATEST 1.2* (grid enabled): (the spacing of the grid also changed so it cannot be compared 1:1, but anyway) As you can see, there are 2 strings fitting in 1.1 that no longer fit in 1.2. The issue is even more puzzling after seeing that in 1.2 actually the checkboxes (now squared instead of round) are placed *further away* than in previous 1.1! In short: in 1.2 the checkboxes are pushed more to the right (therefore allowing more space for the text), but it actually allows *less* space for the strings! If this is a global design issue it impacts most of the screens in the product. That would mean that all the testing done for 1.1 was completely useless. You can tell us to "try to shorten the translation", but that is not the point (my point is the previous sentence). What is going on here? Is this a kind of bug? salut jordi s
