Si no recordo malament, "encriptar" ha estat acceptat fa molt poc, fins ara sempre havíem utilitzat "xifrar". Ja que ara "encriptar" és també correcte penso que ens hauríem de decantar per aquesta forma atès que és més similar al terme anglès.
