Diuen a la llista de mozilla que ja hi ha un bug obert:<br>

Aquest bug fa que hagin reduït l'espai *globalment* a totes les
pantalles (o gairebé totes). Òbviament, moltes cadenes ara es
trunquen.<br>
Fins que aquest bug no estigui solucionat, <u>NO escurceu cadenes
del FirefoxOS</u>. No té sentit.<br>
Per a la 1.1 vam passar-les de tots colors per trobar la millor
traducció per a l'espai que ens deixaven (fins i tot per encaixar
alguna cadena vam haver de fer uns quants intents en diversos
builds).<br>

Reitero: fins que això no estigui resolt, no escurceu cadenes. És
més: quan estigui resolt, tocarà mirar les cadenes que s'han
escurçat per tornat a posar la versió llarga. Al bug, el francès diu
que ja ha començar a restablir les versions llargues de cadenes que
havia escurçat.<br>

Dear all,<br>
When starting testing 1.2, I started seeing reports of strings
not fitting when they were tested and OK in 1.1.<br>
Now I realize that in 1.2 there were some cosmetic changes that
impact the spacing allowed for the strings.<br>

Have a look at this screen ("Developer") (I'm not sure whether
images get through):<br>

(the spacing of the grid also changed so it cannot be compared
1:1, but anyway)<br>

As you can see, there are 2 strings fitting in 1.1 that no
longer fit in 1.2.<br>
The issue is even more puzzling after seeing that in 1.2
actually the checkboxes (now squared instead of round) are
placed *further away* than in previous 1.1!<br>
<br>
In short: in 1.2 the checkboxes are pushed more to the right
(therefore allowing more space for the text), but it actually
allows *less* space for the strings!<br>
If this is a global design issue it impacts most of the screens
in the product.<br>
That would mean that all the testing done for 1.1 was
completely useless.<br>
You can tell us to "try to shorten the translation", but that is
not the point (my point is the previous sentence).<br>

What is going on here? Is this a kind of bug?<br>
